How it works
Row is the current knitting row or crochet row or round, starting at 1. Stitches count within that row or round. Press Next Row after completing it; separate projects keep targets, notes, and row history.

Next Row, stitches, and repeat position
Press Next Row after completing the current row. With Finish row and prepare the next one enabled, the action saves its stitches and target, advances the row, and applies the next-row choices as one undoable step.
Repeat Tracker shows the position within a repeat and completed blocks before the current one. Project notes can remind you of increases, decreases, or color changes; changing stitches alone never advances the row.
What is the difference between the Row count and Stitch count?
Row is your current row or round position and starts at 1 in a new project. Stitch is the count within that row. Changing stitches alone never advances the row. Use Next Row after finishing a row when the finish-row workflow is enabled.
Can Next Row finish the whole row in one step?
Yes. Turn on Finish row and prepare the next one in Settings. Next Row then saves the current stitches, advances the row, applies the next-row choices, and keeps the whole action undoable. Turn it off when rows and stitches should change independently.
How does Repeat Tracker calculate progress?
The tracker uses the current row or stitch value as a position within a repeat. With a repeat length of 4, value 4 shows position 4 of 4 and 0 earlier repeats; value 5 shows position 1 of 4 and 1 earlier repeat. The completed-repeats value counts whole blocks before the current block, so reaching the last position and moving into the next block are different states.
Can I switch between multiple projects without losing progress?
Yes. Each project keeps its own current row, stitches, targets, repeats, notes, and history. Switching projects changes the active project without merging their data.
