What is a rep counter?

A rep counter records repeated exercise movements and groups them into completed sets. CountMetrik Rep Counter is manual; you decide when a rep is complete. It does not watch, hear, or score your movement.

Reps, sets, and targets

Start with 12 reps across 3 sets, choose a common preset, enter a custom positive whole number, or turn either target off. Targets show progress without blocking extra reps or sets.

Automatic or manual set completion

Complete each non-empty set yourself, or optionally turn on automatic completion at the exact rep target. Automatic completion is off by default, and Undo restores the complete boundary when a rep was counted by mistake.

Rest timer and workout feedback

Start a 30, 60, 90, or custom rest timer after a completed set, or enable automatic rest starts. Optional vibration gives device feedback where the browser supports it; counting still works when vibration is unavailable.

Session history and set breakdowns

The Set Log keeps one saved entry for each completed set. Finish a session to archive its exercise, timing, targets, set breakdown, and total reps, then export finished sessions as CSV.

Local saving, fullscreen, and offline use

Active workout state, preferences, rest timing, and finished sessions stay in this browser. Fullscreen keeps the core controls available, the optional Keep screen awake setting can keep a supported screen awake, and a cached visit can continue offline. No account is required.

Rep Counter FAQ

Does Rep Counter detect exercise movements automatically?

No. CountMetrik Rep Counter is manual. You choose +1 Rep or press Space when you decide that a repetition is complete.

Can I count beyond a rep or set target?

Yes. Targets are progress guides and do not cap the count. Automatic set completion only occurs at the exact rep target when you explicitly enable it.

What happens when automatic set completion is enabled?

The rep that reaches the exact target completes the current set, records its breakdown, advances to the next set, and returns current reps to zero in one undoable operation.

Does the rest timer keep its place after a reload?

Yes. A running timer stores its start and end times. After a reload, remaining time is calculated from the real end time instead of restarting the countdown.

What is saved when I finish a session with an incomplete set?

After confirmation, the current non-empty set is saved as the final completed set. History keeps the exercise, session timing, targets, set breakdown, and total reps.

Can Rep Counter work offline?

After a successful cached visit, the page can continue working offline. Active state, preferences, and finished-session history are stored locally in this browser.
